I’m an idiot…
Had a mini dilemma a few days back… One that some of my more “sensitive” readers are gonna find to rather… disturbing.
This dilemma reveals a problem facing many marketers in one form or another
Here’s what happened.
After a long delay…
I finally went to get my hair done, but had a bit too much coffee in the morning. And all that coffee needed a way out.
By the time I got to my saloon I was extremely deperate to haul my ass to the shitter and take an epic piss.
Good thing I knew where the bathroom was.
Scampered to the loo first thing after I arrived but found the door closed. Dammit, someone beat me to it…
Waited a good 15 minutes, legs crossed…springing in place like a bunny rabbit overdosing on LSD waiting for the guy inside to finish.
But dammit, I reached my limit and just decided to barge in whether or not someone was in there.
Better to apologise, than to ask for permission in these life or death situations.
But it turns out the damn toilet was empty!
I stood, cross legged, hopping on one leg with a full bladder waiting to get into an unoccupied toilet!
Yes…yes… I know… I’m an idiot.
But there’s a lesson to be learnt from my 15 minutes of raw stupidity.
You see, this is a lot like how many business owners and marketers are constantly wondering which copywriting strategy would pull massive results. Especially if they have a list of potential strategies that all look good on paper but haven’t been tried yet.
They’re just standing outside the great marketing toilet. With no idea what’s inside.
They could just do a quick test to take a sneak “peek” and get the answers they needed. But instead they choose to stand outside the great sales toilet, never even trying to find out what answers lie inside.
