I’m a huge fan of the Avatar animated series and the second season, Legend of Korra is chock full of killer marketing tips.
One of my favourite scenes is when Tenzin, the world’s only Airbending master ( think of a master ass kicking monk ) is trying to persuade some people to join his tribe.
As you sadly might have guessed…he failed…miserably.
In two memorable scenes I got to see just how far bad salesmanship gets.
He knocks on the door and a woman comes out brushing her hair…and he proceeds to say:
“If you join the air nomads, you’ll have to shave your head”
He knocks on the door and a fat dude with a large chicken wing in his hands opens the door, and he proceeds to say:
“If you join us, you’ll have to take up our vegetarian diet”
He completes the whole thing by yelling out:
“Who wouldn’t want to be friends with a flying bison!?”
What you see here is a man who wants to persuade other people to his cause, but doesn’t know how to present his sales points properly. In fact, the big he made was assuming everyone liked what he liked…a huge killer for any persuasive effort.
Anyways, if you want persuasive sales copy that’ll boost your sales. Sales copy that lines your sales points in a way your customers want to see, then go on over to
