Back when I was still just a kid I used to watch this old TV show called Voltron.
The show was about a group of heroes who used a giant robot to protect the universe from all sorts of bad guys and as you sadly might have guessed, I ate it all up.
Looking back though, one of the wierder parts of Voltron was in the introduction, where the narrator stated how, ” The good planets joined forces to create a defense force “.
The “good planets”… riiiiiiggghhht.
See what they did right there?
Implying there are only “good” and “bad” planets is basically seeing morality as being either bad or good . Meaning someone can either be a bad guy, or a good guy with absolutely no middleground between the two.
Unfortunately we all know the real world isn’t as convenient as what we see on TV.
A more accurate “moral scale” would be seeing the world in 50 shades of grey with the bad zone, and the good zone at the extreme ends.
Most people more or less fall towards the centre of the grey zone of the scale with a few leaning towards being bad guys, and a few others leaning towards being good guys.
For the most part, it’s exactly the same thing when it comes to your customers.
Your prospects exist on a sliding scale of “readiness to buy”. With one side being totally disinterested, the grey zone representing those who’re reasonably interested and the direct opposite site representing those who’re ready to buy. However just because a prospect is on one part of the scale doesn’t mean he’s stuck there. He can be nudged in either direction of the scale by something as simple as reading a review online or seeing a testimonial.
Ignore the ones in the “totally disinterested zone”. They’re never going to buy from you nor do they even care.
It’s your duty to nudge your prospects from the grey zone into the “ready to buy” zone. And the easiest way for you to do this is with regular emails. Each one giving him that small push towards the purchase.
Kinda like the emails I write for my clients and their businesses.
If you wanna tap into my email skillz and nudge your prospects towards the ready to buy white zone, then hit me up over at:
