… yeah you read that right.
Now today’s post if going to squick some of you out.
In fact, most of you are going to ask me what the hell I was thinking.
Now, on to the good part:
Over the past week I’ve battled with a nasty case of the shits.
I don’t know what I ate… what I drank… or what I didn’t eat or drink… my stomach just wasn’t playing on my team these past 6 or so days.
I couldn’t take a walk without my belly rumbling as if it contained the forced of hell.
I couldn’t spend a day without feeling as if the USA dropped the third atom bomb of world war 2 in my stomach…
And I was passing so much gas Greta Thunburg wrote a speech on how my asshole was contributing to global warming. So it comes as no surprise when I faces my toughest trial on Monday afternoon…
When I went shopping with the girlfriend ( who may or may not exist depending on which timeline you’re in ).
We walked to the department store ( roughly 0.6 miles ) to get some groceries… when I could feel the terror welling up in my tummy.
Unfortunately we were already standing in line to pay so I had to hold the line and keep it together for both our sakes.
Yet through all this, only one thing was on my mind:
I had to take a shit.
And believe me if you walked up to me right there and then and offered to let me use your toilet for 5 bucks I would have taken you up on your offer…. And told you to keep the change.
Because that was my most pressing matter.
That was what I had top of mind.
And so it is when it comes to selling to your customers.
Think of it like this:
Is the problem you’re trying to solve for them something as urgent as them having to take a shit?
Is it something which pains them NOW and something they want gone from their lives?
Is it something they can’t stand to bear any longer?
If the answer is yes… then you, my friend are selling to people who need to take a shit.
And believe me…
If someone need to take a shit, they’re gonna pay to use your shitter.
Though in this case your shitter, is your product.
Keep that in mind when you’re positioning your products and offers…
And watch your revenues grow.
… Till the next wave of madness…
