Looks like the internet has finally achieved a new level of retarded…
Celebrity rapper Bow Wow uploaded a fake photo of a private jet with a caption stating it was taking him on his tour. And then a fan found him seated in the economy class of a commercial jet just minutes after the fake picture went up, and snapped a picture of the celebrity then shared it on Twit-huh.
The entire internet made fun of him and he became the butt of half the online jokes worldwide for exactly 34 hours and 12 minutes days before the world’s collective goldfish attention span started laughing at the next celebrity trainwreck.
As I’m writing this I’m seated in a giant Yacht in the middle of the ocean, as a gorgeous woman pours some of the rarest whiskey in the world for me.
And right after I post this I’m going to turn my laptop off and listen to the seagulls as I recline next to the pool area.
Though truth be told, I’m sure you could tell the above passage about me in a yacht is the finest bullshit I’ve ever pulled out of my ass. I literally cringed as I wrote that ( I hate boats, I don’t drink… and personally I think yachts are overrated, can’t game online on the shitty ocean internet connection ).
That being said if there’s one trend that’s sweeping the world it’s the dumb idea of how you can “engineer” a fake super lavish lifestyle on social media and in your emails.
There. I’ve said it. Thrice for massive damage.
Now you’d be surprised just how many ghuruz and internet marketing snake oil salesmen do this. Their pictures always have them standing next to fast cars or in front of massive mansions you’d get lost in without a map.
Why do they do this?
To catch the gullible and the desperate with the bait of their “lavish” lifestyle. All before it all comes crashing down after their followers find out the mansion is empty aside from a single old couch and a half eaten can of dog food.
It’s better to share the real side of your life in your emails.
Now, there’s a right and a wrong way to do this. Do it right and you’ll bond with your list even better than before because they’ll feel like you understand them.
Do it wrong and you’ll instantly lose what respect you have.
It’s a tightrope.
