I pity the kids of today.
Sure, they have iPods. And faster internet. And videogames…
But we had it better. We played outside. Had the best saturday morning cartoons. And didn’t need Tinder to get dates… meh.
Anyways, speaking of Saturday morning cartoons, one my favorite cartoon was always Action Man.
Aside form the sweet animated violence and lack of plot, Action man had a unique ( and super effective ) way of getting himself out of the nastiest situations.
And he summed it up into 3 phrases:
- Check it out
- Dial it in
- Amp it up
Whenever he said them, everything would just stop and he’d take a moment to absorb the situation. He’d take every variable into account. And plan his next move.
He didn’t rush into action ( despite his name ).
He did his research and in one swift motion ( sometimes encroaching on the purely ubsurd ), get himself out of the mess.
The lesson?
You shouldn’t make rush decisions when you’re writing copy.
Check it out-Take moment to take in your market. Your competition. The products which have already been there before you. And how your market has been “educated” by the media about the problem your product solves.
Dial it in-Mix ideas up in your head. Brain storm and think of new strategies and angles using what you’ve taken in.
Amp it up- Craft the copy, based on solid research. And Profit.
Anyways, if you’d like to channel my inner Action Man fanboy to write your copy in an analytical, hyper researched way, then hit me up over at:

And let’s amp your copy ( see what I did there? )
