I hate chatgroups.
There, I said it. And I’m proud of it too. In fact, I prefer to chat one one.
Reason why is because most chat groups are usually a group of closed minded people spinning the same ideas hoping to sound smarter than the other guy in the group they stole the ideas from.
Plus even if that’s not the case there’s usually a major lack of critical thinking in these groups because most people will just jump to share a random fact they found online without doing any background checks on it.
The stupidity hamster wheel keeps on spinning. And the idiot pool keeps getting deeper and deeper until the group is drowning in a pool it’s own collective stupidity.
Now, the reason why I’m sharing this with you is as a reminder to watch out for where you get your information.
And to keep a close eye on those you associate with.
Closed circles are almost always closed minds and any closed circles where dumb ideas circulate are usually as much a waste of your time as the worst internet marketing Ghuru fanclub groups on the interwebz.
And even if your info comes from a reliable source do your own background research.
Heck, I’ll personally confess right now that anyone who will actually send me a false fact that could have been back referenced by a quick Google instantly loses what credibility I saw in them.
Dig for the facts yourself and find out your own truth.
And remember, what you know is only as good as what you’re willing to put the effort to learn.
Especially when it comes to market research for your copy.
