No matter what you’re trying to do, there are always gonna be those who stand against you.
“Haters”, as we call em.
In fact, A young Filipino star, named Myrtle Sarrosa ( don’t worry if you don’t her… I don’t either ) actually faced off with one recently.
Long story short, Myrtle sings. But someone hated her music so he popped by her Facebook page and left a nasty comment.
Now, instead of cowering in her shell… Myrtle actually confronted the critic. And left the clash with her dignity still intact ( a hard thing to do, if you ask me ). I’m not gonna quote her epic reply, but I am gonna list a few motivational nuggets I stole from it.
- You’re always going to have haters. Don’t focus on them. Focus on your supporters. Your biggest fans. Your roaring supporters. Sell to your target market. Because they are where the money is.
You can’t satisfy a hater. But you can make those who love you and what you do smile…and pay.
- Don’t let what others think about you stop you from what you want to do.
If Myrtle listened to what her critics told her, she would never have became a singer. If you listened to your critics and let their opinions define you, you’ll never achieve your full potential.
Stop caring about what they think. Just go for it.
There where a few more I caught, but I’d honestly be repeating myself if I listed them here.
But just to summarise:
Focus on your goals. Ignore your critics. And don’t let them stop you.
Do that, and you can achieve anything… provided you pump in the hustle and work of course.
