I was once a pickup artist.
Though I’m sure you’ve already figured that out. Had to quit the whole PUA scene because of how unethical the circle had become when it came to being with women.
Now, one of the first things I learnt during my stint as a pickup artist was the “Self rejection principle”.
This principle was made because most guys stopped themselves from walking up to, and talking to the women they saw because in their minds the women didn’t want to talk to them.
The guys had a mental vision of the women turning them down before they even tried going to talk to them.
The guy doesn’t even try finding out if his “mental vision is true”, and in the end it’s no different from if the girl actually DID turn him down. Sad isn’t it?
However, in truth the guy didn’t get rejected by the girl. The girl did nothing. Far as she’s concerned the guy doesn’t even exist. Instead…
The guy rejected himself.
He essentially took his false mental belief of how the girl was going to react and projected it on her. Big mistake… and a totally incorrect way to treat people ( How would YOU feel is someone had a totally wrong assumption of who you are? ).
Unfortunately it’s the same thing when it comes to selling in every email.
If your reason for not pitching in every email you send out is along the lines of, “what if they don’t want to buy from me”… then what YOU are doing is no different to the guy projecting his false beliefs on the girl.
You’d be projecting your false beliefs on your customers.
Maybe they don’t want to buy from you.
Maybe they do.
Maybe they don’t know your offer even exists.
Truth is, you DON’T know.
So how you find out? Easy… You give them the opportunity to buy from you. If they don’t want to buy from you they’ll ignore your offer. And if they do, they’ll follow your offer and splonk their moolah on your service.
Easy as 1.2.3.
So, stop rejecting yourself before you even try making the sale.
