This… is devious. It’s more that that…
This…. IS ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY BRILLIANT!
I’m talking about this ad I just watched on the TV where this paint company was touting their new home decor app. So:
The cool part is how you can just fire up the app, point your phone at your wall anywhere in your house and then the app starts changing the color of your walls right there on the screen. Next thing you know you’re getting suggestions for the best paint which looks closest to the color you see on the screen and an option to order the paint right there for delivery.
Now I have no idea who came up with this crazy idea but I want to shake that devious bastard’s hand and take him for coffee and a serving of chicken wings.
Because he just used one of the most powerful sales emotional sales triggers to get people buying the paints.
Here’s what I mean:
If you can somehow give your prospect an idea of what owning your product will be like you’ll be planting “emotional buying seeds” in their minds.
Seeds which’ll sprout and grow into relentless thoughts about how good owning your product will make their life.
Thoughts which’ll haunt them in their dreams and make them wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, ready to whip out their credit cards buy your product ( not making this up disclaimer . Master copywriters John Carlton and Ben Settle have BOTH done this to me. )
And the best part?
You don’t even need the so called “EN EL PEE” techniques to do it. ( Nothing against the “EN EL PEE” crowd but I’m not boarding that bus even if they offered free lap dances and drinks )
Moving on, if you want copy which’ll burrow deep into your customer’s mind and resonate deep within their psyches to create powerful urges of desire for your product then hit me up over at:
