Let’s set the record straight, shall we?
Copy… IS IMPORTANT.
But we all know that!
Problem here is, some nutty marketers think copy is the only thing which is important in the equation.
They’ll spend shitloads of moolah getting the most talented writers in the world to craft the most polished copy for their products. And they’ll still sit down and scratch their heads when their product still doesn’t sell. Chucking their ad budget into a massive cashsink…
They’ve forgotten how copy is only a part of the equation.
There’s still the market and the offer to be considered.
In fact, those two should be looked into first before the copy is written.
Because your market and your offer form the bedrock your copy will be build upon.
Focusing only on the copy and not the market is like spending $9 million on a custom single digit license plate for a rundown car which barely moves.
Of course the custom plate is cool and all… but you can’t drive a license plate to the hospital if you’re having a stroke.
Just like how you can’t focus on just the copy while ignoring the other two factors because you can’t sell to a market you don’t understand.
And if you want to make sure your copy focuses on your market. And gives it a sweet offer instead of firing blanks and wasting your budget, then hit me up over at:
And let’s kick ass!
Till the next wave of madness…
