My mother bought me my first diary when I was about 12 years old.
“Write your thoughts in it”, she would say to me. And so I did. Almost everyday. It pretty much became a “mini ritual” for me to write my day down and to give each day a review score before I hit the hay.
Unfortunately I lost that old diary. 12 year olds ARE careless after all.
Yet the seeds where already sowed in.
By the time I went to high school I bought ANOTHER diary for myself and this time I wrote in it every single day. Sometimes I wrote about my friends. Sometimes I wrote about my frustrations with my teachers.
Sometimes I wrote about the inappropriate thoughts bubbling in my immature teenage mind during the throes of puberty.
However…It didn’t matter “what” I wrote.
As long as I wrote something.
And now, going through that old diary I suddenly remembered this girl I used to study with named Joyleen. She read my diary once a week ( usually on a Friday, with my permission of course ). And do you know what she would say to me?
“Hey, James… any new stuff you wrote?”
Amazing, isn’t it?
Just when you think your life is boring as hell somebody else actually PESKERS you to share your details with them. Why? Because your life is only boring to YOU.
Far as your most loyal subscribers on your email list are concerned your life is an entertaining drama they follow…
And even those who don’t read every email you send out, they just pick out the details they need to get a picture of you and who you are.
And that…. is one of the cornerstones of trust. They want to trust you enough to know you won’t run off with their credit card details the second they look down to reply to a message on Ye Olde Facebook Messenger.
That being said, if you want my help to create a powerful “diary” email sequence for your new subscribers that gives them a “controlled peek” into your world… while making sure they get to know you enough to trust you ( and eventually to buy from you ). Then go enter your details over here:
