…Sorry about that. That’s me crying like a little bitch after I landed in my brother’s Monopoly tile a couple of hours ago. The rent I had to pay him completely cleaned me out.
I gotta tell ya, this was a heated game of epic proportions and only the smarted was going to survive. Unfortunately I forgot my smart hat at home and tried a completely new ( and stupid ) strategy.
Here’s what I did…
I splurged all my moolah buying one of the most expensive tiles on the board hoping some unfortunate sap would land on it and pay me shitwads of cash. My suicidal plan hinged on the off chance that somebody would actually land on one of my tiles and give me enough “rent” money to pay back my development costs.
The plan was brilliant
The execution flawless.
Except I forgot one crucial thing… In my blind forward charge to glory I somehow forgot I wasn’t the only player on the board and it slipped my mind that I’d need money to pay off one of my brothers in the even I landed on one of their tiles. And as you sadly might have guessed…
I actually landed on the most expensive tile in the whole game, leaving me with a rent bill so large I wasn’t just broke. No…
I was a whole different level of Broke.
I was Mc Hammer broke.
It was that bad.
And how did I let myself land in such a dumb position? Easy…
I was greedy and ended up overlooking the long term game plan and focused only on the short term strategy. My defeat was my fault and I’ll admit I was an idiot.
Greed does that to people.
That’s why it’s such a powerful sales tool
It has a way of bypassing the logic gates in your prospects minds during the sale. Very few things flip the “buy now” switch more than appealing to the greedy little bastard in your customer’s heads. So try to find a way to appeal to your customer’s inner greed in your copy and strategy… and bag moar sales.
Just be ethical when you go about doing it. Good, now:
